Adam, That’s Not Very Elegant…
“Adam, that’s not very elegant” — these words keep swirling in my mind like clouds hugging the peak of a volcano above Lake Atitlán in Guatemala, where I’m writing this piece. The quote belongs to my dear friend Bartek, who for years kept reminding me that hoarding photos and stories on a hard drive is, at the very least, inelegant. It’s December 7th, 2021, and the creation of this site is my long-awaited response to that statement.
So, what’s this all about?
By now, you probably know my name and have a rough idea of how I like to spend my time. Over the past few years, I’ve visited some incredible corners of this planet — and I’ve been lucky enough to document these experiences through photography and stories.
The core idea behind this blog is to share my perspective — the way I see the world, and what I try to uncover in it. There’s so much happening out there, so many versions and shades of this remarkable planet, and I love capturing them in frames. Until now, those frames have mostly stayed hidden, seen only by a handful of people and buried in countless folders on my hard drive.
It’s time to change that. It’s time to give my expression a voice.
This is my first post, but in the Portfolio section, you’ll already find a glimpse of my photographic work — pieces I’m proud to share with you.
Look, comment, critique, write to me.
My head is full of ideas about how I want this space to grow. Photography will remain the core pillar, but it’ll be accompanied by stories from my life and reflections on the world around me. This is my debut, and I’m learning what quality means and how to keep raising my own bar.
It all started with a casual remark from a friend — where it leads, I’m genuinely curious to find out. But one thing I can promise you: these photos will take you on journeys to places of stunning beauty, though not always from the most obvious angle.
Expect more — many more — photos coming soon, already lined up for release. And watch me grow as someone learning to write not just for myself, but for an audience bigger than me.
If even one photo here makes you smile or sparks a moment of awe, it means that my thoughts have begun to materialize the way I hoped they would.
I wish you presence while discovering this world I’m offering here — and a flood of positive feelings when you leave this page.
That’s it for now. I’m handing over to you something that, not long ago, was just a scattered cloud of thoughts.
And now, I’m heading deeper into the Guatemalan earth — to collect more of what I’ll later bring back here, for you.
